rates:
For small orgs (less than $1M annual revenue), volunteer-led groups, mutual aid projects, etc. — I want to work with you! Let’s talk about your budget and what I can offer and we can go from there.
I generally charge $200-350 an hour (tighter timeline and/or larger org budget = higher end of the range)
Packages can be customized to your needs and will incorporate a discounted hourly rate.
some notes on values & approach:
The very concepts of diversity, equity, inclusion, and belonging have been weaponized against the people that theoretically were supposed to benefit from prioritizing these approaches in our workplaces. I believe this highlights a fundamental disconnect around what we are actually fighting for, particularly in the mission-driven nonprofit world. My true north star is liberation: freedom from all oppressive structures, for all people (along with the ability for each of us to define what that looks like for ourselves). So I hold racial justice as a value and align my actions accordingly, knowing this is lifelong work and I have and will continue to make mistakes.
Maintaining a sense of humor is really important to me. We work on serious issues and most people are carrying heavy burdens of one form or another as we navigate the ongoing COVID pandemic, multiple genocides, and regular old capitalism. A Garfield meme is not going to save the world, but it might offer a few moments of respite. I often turn to Vu Le and his Nonprofit AF blog when I need to stop taking myself so seriously.
